Jennifer Theuer Ruzicka along with special guests Fred Johnson and Tim Conwell explore levels of surrealism in photography at the Dali Museum in St Petersburg , Florida through sound. In conjunction with the ongoing exhibition The Subversive Eye. By exploring the capacities of the medium, The Subversive Eye exhibition highlights how artists have ultimately used photographic techniques to question the nature of seeing itself, delving deeply into the inner realm. This performance focuses on specially chosen images from the exhibition and explores the same premise with sound. Using the genre musique concrete along with acoustic instruments and spoken word, sound is used to help the listener experience surrealist photographic images in combination with sound through a lens that begins an aural and visual questioning process.
