MarQu Vr (Qpop) video for Oort Cloud release

Tomorrow marks the official release of Alchymie & Gregg Skloff's latest The Oort Cloud on Aerocde Music. Recorded live in Waterford, Ireland at the 5th annual Sonic Dreams festival September 2017.  Irish electronic multimedia artist and producer MarQu Vr not only contributed visually during the concert with his unique production of video graphics, but has created a special premier video for the single 'Oumuamua. Q P.O.P. is the main art project of MarQu Vr. He has been involved with the underground music and art scene in Ireland since the late 90s, producing concept based multimedia art. Originally DJ:ing genres as EBM, Goa and Industrial, he began his journey as a producer in 2002, developing an experimental sound which is influenced by e.g. IDM, Techno, Industrial, Psychedelic, Ambient and Electro. He graduated from Fine Art College, specializing in Digital Media, Video and Sound Art in 2001.

MarQu Vr got involved as a VJ on the Psy Trance scene, becoming the resident VJ with the Neutronyx collective in 2005 / 2006. Since then he has been VJ:ing for many styles of music nights and festivals such as Life Festival, Electric Picnic, Body and Soul, Knockanstockan and various independently organised festivals, working with different groups in the underground music scene.

In 2008, he started the 4theye Multisensory experience events, which was part of several festivals between 2009 and 2014. Recently it has evolved into QVRtv (Question your Vision of Reality) a Multimedia / New Media platform. In 2009, he was nominated as a VJ at the Electronic Dance music awards. Since then the focus has been on audiovisual and DVJ performance, moving into the area of Video mapping in 2013.

Q P.O.P. is an audiovisual conceptual engine. The music and visuals are based on chaos theory and aleatoric processes. Working in mediums such as sound, video and performance art and how this can be used to create installations with live interaction. The main principles for creating art are based on cutting up popular culture and the by-products of the modern age. This is then recomposed in an abstract audiovisual format incorporating video feedback distortion and soundwave frequencies.

Q P.O.P. comes from a wave of electrostatic formation in the air which evolved into an electric organism to stimulate the subconscious. 

In 2016, MarQu Vr signed a record deal with The Sublunar Society and the album Space Time Continuum was released.
